Footage Surfaces Courtesy Of Hologram Entertainment Company
A hologram of Ronnie James Dio joined Dio Disciples for an unruly form of 1984’s “We Rock” at the 2016 Wacken Open Air Festival. Eyellusion made the picture, which even offered Dio’s mark fallen angel horns hand signal.
The impact was allegedly a year really taking shape. “When I initially encountered the full generation of Ronnie performing with his band as a multi dimensional image, I couldn’t trust my eyes and ears,” Dio’s dowager Wendy tells Rolling Stone. “With Eyellusion, we have possessed the capacity to get Ronnie move down in front of an audience where he has a place, guaranteeing that his music and memory live on. I need Ronnie’s fans far and wide to share this experience.”
Fun Fact: Typically, a hologram is a photographic recording of a light field, rather than of an image formed by a lens, and it is used to display a fully three-dimensional image of the holographed subject.
